Passionate, driven, and talented are the words to describe Eda Lourdes. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she was drawn to the creative world at a very young age through her involvement with dancing, modeling, television, and theater. Her mentors include the best performers and professors of Performing Arts in San Juan such as Ita Medina, Petra Bravo, Waldo Garcia, Caridad Fernandez, and Marcelino Alcala.
Eda’s vision is to design and write for women who are “everywhere and always” active, professional, visionary, chic, and in-style for every occasion. Her inspiration comes from the strong women in her life starting with her Mother. Her second muse is her love affair with the lifestyle, culture, and fashion of her favorite cities: San Juan, New York, and Paris.
Her travels in France to Paris, Brittany, and the Pyrenees, inspired her to live out her dream and build a fashion brand of accessories that focuses on embracing classic femininity with a sophisticated and modern touch for today’s woman. Eda decided to expand her design knowledge when she enrolled at Parsons The New School for Art & Design in Business Basics and Accessories Design. In the summer of 2014, Eda also started collaborating for the Paris based blog Rue de Rogues.
She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico in 2000 and also completed a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University in 2007. She worked fifteen years in finance and investments, currently designs for her line eda lourdes and is mommy to Yohan and Jarod.
Eda relocated to Paris from New York City and has worked for the fashion houses of IRO, APPARIS, Miriam Budet & Lemloren.
